Meal Times
The Devonshire receives daily “excellent” reviews from Residents on its meal service. Our own Chef works with the Residents individually and as a group to ensure each meal is enjoyed. Our Chef incorporates all the food groups into each meal while allowing for a breadth of choice. As the Devonshire caters to a small group of Residents, we have the flexibility of individualized catering. Residents can also eat when they wish, or choose to eat with the rest of the Residents in one of the dining rooms or on the patio (weather permitting, of course).
Meetings
In order to ensure effective communication amongst Residents, their families and Devonshire staff members, meetings are held regularly.
- Residents Meetings are held weekly to encourage Residents to discuss whatever is on their mind
- Residents Council Meetings are held monthly to discuss new suggestions, ideas and issues to facilitate the day-to-day running of the home
- Residents & Relatives Meetings are held two to three times a year to stay in touch and to practice our fire drills.
Visitors
We all love having visitors. Visitors are welcome at any time at the Devonshire and are invited to share a meal (as long as the Chef has some warning!).
If you have a message you want passed on to a resident, email it to us. Contact the Devonshire Care Home to find out more about the home and its services, and to arrange for a visit.
"Excellent! Couldn't live in a better place, lovely rooms. There's always something going on, never a dull moment." (Irene)
